Woodrush". A native of Britain this is
another member of the Rush family yet very different from their Juncus
relatives. Very popular with gardeners of oriental style gardens, deep shade
and low maintenance gardens. Luzula are evergreen spreading by rhizomes so can colonize an area quite
speedily. H 45 cm.-W 120 cm.

Native of southern Europe and the Alps. Evergreen foliage dark green covered with fine hairs. Inflorescence to 60 cm. Covered in dense white or off white flowers that become pendula. Striking in mass. An excellent ground cover plant and stabiliser. Sun or part shade. Easy to grow on most ground.
