Panicum virgatum Heavy Metal The Switch Grass From the North American prairie fairly large grass but extremely good garden plant. Blue grey upright leaves and purple flowers reaching 1.2 meters. H 90 cm.-W90 cm. Very exposure tolerant requires full sun. A well drained neutral to alkaline soil is best but will try hard everywhere. They do not like the winter wet.
